Mary Ramos & Hortensia Rivera, Understudy

Miriam comes from a Puerto Rican background. She is currently studying Theatre Art at Wisconsin Lutheran College. She has participated in film and theatre projects such as “Navidad”, “Roots in a Parched Ground”, “The Miser” and many others.

We asked Miriam a few questions about herself…

  • Do you have any pets?: “Yes. 3 dogs (rescued pitbulls).
  • If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?: “A bird. I always wanted to know what it would feel like to be able to fly.”
  • What food can’t you live without?: “Dumplings  (“bolitas de harina”) in Puerto Rican style beans.”
  • Special talent: “I write poetry and dance.”
  • If you were shipwrecked on an island and could only have three things, what would they be?: “Sunscreen, Sudoku, and my dog Addie Belle.
  • If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?: “Enthusiastic, Endeavouring and Compassionate.”
