…as Mari Ramos

Joana comes from a Puerto Rican background. She moved to the United States when she was 24 years old. Joana graduated with honors from Zoe Bible Seminary in 1991. She is no stranger to the stage and has been writing and acting in plays for the last 15 years. She is now part of the cast of the radio novela  ¡Qué Gente, Mi Gente!, Los Secretos de Santa Monica and The Secrets of Santa Monica: La Boda as Mari Ramos.

We asked Joana a few questions about herself…

  • Do you have a nickname? “Me dicen Joy.”
  • Where were you born? “Me crie en Puerto Rico.”
  • If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?: “Me gustaría ser un águila para poder volar muy alto.”
  • What food can’t you live without?: “No puedo vivir sin pan.”
  • Special talent: “Creo que un talento especial que poseo es la creatividad para escribir dramas (comedias).”
  • If you were shipwrecked on an island and could only have three things, what would they be?: “Si quedara atrapada en una isla las 3 cosas que escogería sería agua potable, una biblia y un machete.”
  • Favorite saying: “¡Wepa!”
  • If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?: “Graciosa, fuerte y leal.”
