When it doesn’t go the way you planned

IMG_2756I was recently in charge of decorating my niece’s wedding. It was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun as it gave me an excuse to be on Pinterest for an endless amount of time gathering ideas on how to make it the most beautiful outdoor wedding known to mankind. She was getting married at her fiance’s grandparent’s property in Upper Michigan – which I was excited about because their property is gorgeous. I mean they had a pond where the altar (handmade with the wood from the forrest next door) was going to be, covered in fabric and flowers, with hand painted barrels with their initials, flowers by the isles, and on and on and on. It was going to be a beautiful wedding. Until we got there and it RAINED and RAINED and RAINED. Fortunately, my sister had rented a large tent for the reception. In a matter of 30 minutes the outdoor wedding turned into an indoor wedding – and you know what? It came out just as beautiful. And the happy couple tied the knot.

Jenny Ramos and Columbo Bello, in The Secrets of Santa Monica: La Boda, are facing some similar setbacks on what’s supposed to be the most important day of their lives. The question becomes do these setbacks stop the wedding or do they make this day that much more special? Come see the show to find out if Columbo and Jenny finally say I do.
